Understand slow WordPress pages through measurements.

Measure the causes of slow pages and apply improvements suited to your website.

Who is this for?
WordPress websites improving loading times and mobile usability.
What does it help you do?
Performance work assessed with comparable before and after measurements.

Work defined around your existing website

The written scope defines actions and access within the selected product limits.

Page loading and Core Web Vitals review

Review loading behaviour and Core Web Vitals on representative pages, recording device and measurement conditions.

Package-specific cache, image and resource changes

Adjust caching, images and loaded resources within the limits of the existing theme, plugins and server.

Measurements and implementation report

Compare before and after measurements under the same conditions, explaining blocked changes or work requiring further development.

Investigating delay on a mobile product page

A conceptual example explaining the approach, not a customer project or an achieved result.

  1. Starting situation

An example page appears slowly on a phone; a baseline records the page, device and connection conditions.

  2. Decision point

Large images, external scripts and cache behaviour are separated before choosing the intervention scope.

  3. Verification approach

The same page is measured again after changes, with dynamic cart or form behaviour checked separately.

An illustrative workflow, not a customer project.

Four steps from review to work records

Timing, authorised access and responsibilities are agreed with the scope.

  1. Measure representative pages

Review authorised access, versions and current behaviour, identifying the responsible people.

Planned outputCurrent state and access record

  2. Separate theme, plugin and server bottlenecks

Record package boundaries, test workflows and recovery requirements.

Planned outputWritten scope and verification plan

  3. Apply the agreed improvements

Apply approved changes in a suitable environment, recording unverified dependencies.

    Planned outputRecord of applied changes

  4. Measure the same scenarios and share findings

Share check results, outstanding needs and subsequent maintenance responsibilities.

What to review at handover

The product and written scope define final deliverables; not every item is included in every package.

  • Page loading and Core Web Vitals review
  • Package-specific cache, image and resource changes
  • Measurements and implementation report
  • Results for the agreed workflows and outstanding findings
  • Records of changes, access handover and ongoing responsibilities

Licences, further development and ongoing support are defined separately. A backup does not prove successful restoration.

Questions that clarify the scope

Is a particular speed score guaranteed?

No. Themes, servers, external services and test conditions affect results. Comparable measurements and recorded changes define the assessment.

Will Core Web Vitals change immediately?

Laboratory measurements differ from real-user data. Field data changes may require time and sufficient traffic.

Will caching be enabled on every page?

Sessions, carts and personalised content need separate assessment. A single cache setting is not suitable everywhere.

Is a hosting move included?

Migration or redevelopment beyond the package is not included automatically. Such requirements need a separate scope.

Will image optimisation alter the content?

Sizing, format and loading changes are scoped beforehand, including original files, acceptable quality and recovery requirements.
