Add your business email account to any email client. In the dashboard, open your email service's Access tab and find the Email Client Settings card for the required details.
Connection details
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Username | Your full email address (for example [email protected]) |
| Password | Mailbox password |
| Server | Mail server name shown in the dashboard |
| Incoming mail (IMAP) | Port 993, SSL/TLS |
| Incoming mail (POP3) | Port 995, SSL/TLS |
| Outgoing mail (SMTP) | Port 587, STARTTLS or port 465, SSL/TLS |
POP3 details (port 995, SSL/TLS) are not displayed in the dashboard card; use the values above for POP3. Choose IMAP for multiple devices so read, deleted and filed messages stay synchronized. POP3 usually downloads messages to one device.
Automatic setup
If your domain has the autodiscover and autoconfig CNAME records, Outlook, phones and Thunderbird can often configure the account using only your email address and password. For records, see email DNS records.
General setup steps
- Open the add-account screen in your program: Add account in Outlook, Mail in iPhone Settings, your Android email app's add-account menu, or Create a new account in Thunderbird.
- Enter your full email address and password.
- If automatic setup succeeds, you are done. Otherwise choose manual or advanced configuration.
- Choose IMAP as the account type and enter the displayed mail server name for incoming and outgoing servers.
- Set ports and encryption as in the table. Keep outgoing server authentication enabled and use the same username and password.
Troubleshooting
- Ensure the username is the full email address.
- If you recently changed the password in the dashboard, update it in your email client too.
- If webmail login works, the account is functional; the issue is likely in the client settings. See using webmail.
