Renewal, suspension and termination timeline

Which services does this cover?
This timeline is the current practice for recurring hosting, server and business email services, stated in the Terms of Service. Recurring services renew for the same term unless automatic renewal is disabled in the dashboard. Domains follow a different schedule; see Domain renewal and expiration.
Timeline
| When? | What happens? |
|---|---|
| 14 days before the term ends | An advance renewal notice is sent. |
| 7 days before the term ends | A renewal invoice is issued and you are notified. |
| 7 days after the invoice date | Payment becomes due. |
| Within 24 hours before the due date | The default saved card is charged. Temporary failure triggers retries over the next two days. |
| If the card is permanently declined | Service is suspended the same day and you are notified. |
| If all three attempts fail | Service is suspended the day after the last attempt and you are notified. |
| Before and after the due date | Reminder emails are sent for unpaid invoices. |
| 7 days after the due date | The service linked to the unpaid invoice is suspended unless already suspended. |
| 30 days after suspension | Unpaid service is terminated and its data permanently deleted. |
During suspension
The service does not operate, but data is not yet deleted. Paying during suspension automatically restores service. Pay through My Invoices by card, bank transfer/EFT or balance. Bank transfer/EFT requires approval of your payment notification.
Termination
Service unpaid within 30 days of suspension is terminated. Its files, databases, emails, server disk and backups are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Copies in backup rotations expire automatically too, within 3 weeks for hosting services.
Avoiding interruption
- Keep automatic renewal enabled for services you use.
- My Saved Cards: keep a current default card here, or sufficient account balance.
- Keep your notification email address current.
