SSL certificates in hosting plans

SSL is included in your plan
An SSL certificate encrypts the connection between your website and its visitors. Browsers mark sites without a certificate as “not secure”, so every site should use a valid certificate.
All Linux, WordPress and WooCommerce hosting plans provide free Let's Encrypt certificates through cPanel's AutoSSL feature. You do not need to apply separately or pay extra for the certificate.
How is the certificate issued?
AutoSSL automatically issues and installs certificates for the domains in your account, and renews them automatically too. The only requirement is that your domain points to the server hosting your account. Before issuing a certificate, Let's Encrypt verifies that the domain actually points to this server.
- Point your domain's nameservers to your hosting account.
- Wait for the change to propagate.
- Once the change is complete, the certificate is installed automatically and your site loads over
https://.
Switching your site to HTTPS
After the certificate is installed, check your site settings to ensure it always uses a secure connection:
- WordPress: In Settings, make sure the Site Address and WordPress Address fields start with
https://. - Mixed content: If images, scripts or stylesheets on your pages load from
http://addresses, the browser may show a security warning. Update these links tohttps://.
If no certificate was issued
- Check your domain's nameserver settings and whether the change has propagated.
- If your domain's DNS records point to another server, certificate validation fails.
- If the problem persists, open a support ticket and specify your domain.
