Passwordless sign-in with a passkey

A passkey signs you in using your device's fingerprint, face recognition or screen lock (PIN) instead of a password. The key works only on TeknoWeb, not a fake page, making it more resistant to phishing than passwords.
Replaces two-factor authentication
During passkey sign-in, the device verifies you with biometrics or PIN. This combines device possession and device verification, so it counts as two-factor authentication (2FA); no additional code is requested.
How do I add a passkey?
- My Profile: open the Security tab.
- Passkeys: select Add passkey.
- If your account has a password, enter it in Current password. This verification protects the addition of a new sign-in method.
- Optionally name the key, for example “Work computer”.
- Continue starts your device's fingerprint, face recognition or screen-lock verification; complete it.
Accounts without passwords
Accounts created with Google or Apple without a password are not asked for one. Instead, a session started within the past 15 minutes is required, also when deleting keys. If asked to sign out and back in for security, do so and retry.
Browser support
If the browser does not support passkeys, the card says so and disables adding. Try an updated browser or another device.
Managing passkeys
- The list shows each key's name, creation date and last use.
- Add up to 10 passkeys to your account.
- Synced means the key is shared with other devices through your device account; This device only means it stays on that device.
- Name lets you rename the key.
- Delete removes the key. If a password is set, deletion requires it too. Deleted keys no longer work; remove the device copy separately in its password manager if desired.
Regularly review sign-in changes such as added or deleted keys alongside your sessions. For code-based verification, see Two-factor authentication.
